Hospital-Wide Wellness Marketing & Design

During my time with the Learning and Development Center at the University of Vermont Medical Center — specifically supporting the Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital (CVPH) branch — I focused on creating engaging, employee-centric marketing and design solutions. Healthcare environments are fast-paced and high-stress, making clear, welcoming internal communication vital. My role was to bridge the gap between organizational wellness initiatives and the hospital staff, ensuring vital professional development and wellness resources were highly visible and accessible.

Annual Karen Prevo Trauma Education Day Event Branding, Brochure Design & Layout

CVPH’s annual Karen Prevo Trauma Education Day brings staff together for a full day of learning focused on trauma-informed care, honoring Karen Prevo’s legacy through hands-on education and professional development.

To support the event, I designed a clean, easy-to-navigate trifold brochure packed with everything attendees needed: session schedules, CE credit details, learning objectives, and registration info.

Heads, Hands, Heart Day Event Marketing & Design

A critical part of driving engagement for internal healthcare campaigns is creating visuals that break through the daily noise of a high-stress medical environment.

As a personal design initiative to elevate the campus's visual landscape, I created the marketing materials for one of CVPH’s flagship employee events: Heads, Hands, Heart Day, a hospital-wide wellness day centered on education, connection, and care.

EXPLORE Logo Rebranding & Event Identity

Creating a memorable identity within a healthcare system requires balancing energy with professionalism.

For this project, I took the lead on the concept and execution of the EXPLORE logo rebranding, establishing a vibrant, recognizable visual foundation that could easily adapt to specialized internal sub-brands and high-profile hospital events.

Design Strategy & Identity System

The rebrand was built to feel dynamic and meaningful, ensuring the visual elements directly connected back to the medical community it represents:

  • The EXPLORE Logo: I designed the core EXPLORE identity with purposeful medical symbolism, shaping the "X" to mimic a heartbeat monitor line. Paired with a bold, high-energy red, the logo projects vitality, action, and forward momentum.

  • Event Expansion (Annual Karen Prevo Trauma Education Day): To demonstrate the scalability of the new brand system, I developed the event logos for the annual education day (shown below). Built to seamlessly match the core EXPLORE branding, these variations feature tailored elements that give the specific trauma education initiative its own cohesive, distinct identity while keeping it anchored to the master brand.

Employee Survey Campaign Poster Series

To help boost participation in CVPH’s annual Press-Ganey employee survey, I designed a set of three posters that were printed and displayed throughout the hospital. One leans classic and formal, perfect for more traditional spaces. The others bring a more playful energy with bold color and loud typography to stand out in busy hallways.
